Ophir Loop Confederacy

Ophir Loop Confederacy is a fairly new group based in Colorado. They model the Rio Grande Southern in HOn3. The layout starts at Placerville with a yard and massive full-train turntable for staging. Then the line winds its way through Vance Junction, Ames, the Butterfly Trestle and mill, the low line to the bridge 45A and the Ophir loop and on up the four high line bridges to Matterhorn. Then on up to Trout Lake including the passing siding and tank, the Trout Lake trestle on up to Lizardhead with its snowshed, then down into Delores. Rico and Durango are combined into “Rica-rango” with a reverse loop and yard. There are 40 modules in all. All bridges are to scale with grade, height and length true to the prototype.

The group is currently composed of three members from Salida and Colorado
