Street Cars of Yesteryear
in St. Louis
Mark Goldfeder will take you back to the days of yesteryear in St. Louis. Come and view the old street cars and railroads which were the main forms of transportation years ago. Notice the clothing of the people and how both women and men wore hats in those days.
Mark grew up in the west end of St. Louis in the Cabanne area. As a young boy at the age of five, he walked with his dad every day to meet the trains to pick up a load of fish. his dad was in the seafood business. He and his dad picked up the fish from the Wabash RR Train at 18th & Clark, where Union Station is located today.
The Goldfeders lived on the corner of Etzel & Hamilton. This gave him a birds eye view of the streetcar line. This was the beginning of Mark's interest in railroads and streetcars - he grew up with them.
Mark has a bachelor of science degree from St. Louis University in transportation. He enjoys sharing his interests and hobby with the community. Goldfeder is the president of the St Louis Railroad Enthusiasts in St. Louis.

Maybe It's Your Medication
Hedva Barenholtz Levy, PharmMD, BCPS, BCCP, and Director of Pharma Consulting has authored the book, “Maybe It’s Your Medications.” Hedva says, ”We have a medication problem in America. It is marked not only by excessive use of medications, but by errors in how they are prescribed, monitored, and taken.” An estimated 19 million adults age 65 and older take five or more medications daily. These individuals and their family caregivers know the frustrations of lengthy medication lists, high drug costs, and frequent questions about the need and value of those medications.
An unrecognized adverse drug effect is all too often mistaken for a new medical condition, or worse, a symptom of getting older. Who stops to question the medication?
Come and listen to her speak about the problem and what you can do to protect yourself from this happening to you. There will be a question and answer session following the lecture.
